Copyright Application Process

1 LegalSherpa Copyright Questionnaire

Your copyright registration will be registered online by a LegalSherpa professional. However, the Library of Congress may require a hard-copy”deposit of your work. You must therefore send us a “hard copy”, if required, for registration.

Once we have received your materials, a LegalSherpa professional will review the information that you provided for accuracy, common errors and completeness. We will then prepare your copyright application and electronically file your application with the U.S. Copyright Office.  When applicable, we will then provide you with a FedEx tracking number as confirmation of delivery. We do not charge for shipping.  We can also handle any back-and-forth communication with the U.S. Copyright Office regarding your application.
